About Us

Since being established in 1990, Kabel Electro has consistently provided high quality bespoke cable assemblies and friendly customer service, producing products including cut lengths of cable, wire preparation, and assembly of complex looms and wire harnesses.

As part of our comprehensive service, we offer a high level of flexibility on order quantities, from low volume batch runs with fast turn arounds, to large volumes at competitive prices. Regardless of quantity, our total quality management and attention to detail will ensure that a high quality product will be delivered.

We are capable of providing flexible delivery programming and scheduling. Combining this with the consistently high quality of our products allows for use of just-in-time and ship-to-stock solutions.

Both turnkey and bespoke solutions are available to suit your needs, and our in house electronics design service is capable of producing designs to your specifications, with prototypes of designs available at production quality.

We regularly work with a large variety of components and manufacturing techniques. On this page is a brief collection of the services and components with which we regularly work. In addition to these we are capable of providing a vast array of bespoke services to customers.

RoHS Compliance

The Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances (RoHS) limits the levels of heavy metals present in electrical equipment. This directive aims to reduce the use and impact of toxic heavy metals, including;

  • Lead, Pb
  • Cadmium, Cd
  • Mercury, Hg
  • Hexavalent chromium, Cr6+
  • polybrominated biphenyls, PBB
  • polybrominated diphenyl ethers, PBDE

We work with our suppliers to ensure that our products comply with the RoHS directive. Any RoHS exempt products, including those intending for military applications, are managed separately so as to ensure that RoHS compliant components are not contaminated.

Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act

The Dodd-Frank Act was introduced in the USA in 2010, and addresses the abuse of human rights and potential funding of war through the mining and smelting of conflict materials, such as coltan, tantalum, tin, tungsten, gold, in and around the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

To monitor the effect of conflict materials, this legislation requires electronics companies to disclose the use of any conflict materials in the construction of their products.

Kabel Electro understands this regulation and supports the effort to reduce human rights violations and conflict. To this end, we have investigated the issue with our suppliers, and to the best of our knowledge none of our products contain any African conflict minerals.
